BIOGRAPHY

JAMES H. JENKINS, farmer, Sec. 20; P. O. Paris; is a native of Henry Co., Ky. lived at his native place until the age of 16 when he said they 'walked' to Jefferson, Kentucky. From there they moved to Madison, Ind., where he remained until after his marriage to Miss Chloe A. Redman, also of Kentucky. After their marriage they moved across the river to Trimble, Kentucky where his older brother John Washington Jenkins lived.

James & Chloe Ann had a family of *twelve children - nine boys and three girls; he has a farm of 171 acres, well improved, which he has accumulated by his own hard work.
Jenkins is an old settler, who is known as one of the honest, straightforward men of Sims Tp.

*They actually had 13 children..one died at a young age and must not have been counted.
