Rev. Rosemary Vincent
September 6, 1932 - May 16, 2012

Rev. Vincent, 79, of Branson, formerly of Bolivar, died Wednesday in Branson.

She was born in Alton, the eldest of six children born to Cecil and Ruth Dawson Vincent.

She studied theology at Southern California College, Costa Mesa, Calif., and received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in education from the University of Kansas. She taught at Northeast Junior High and Sumner Academy of the Arts & Sciences both in Kansas City, Kan. She was the chair and curriculum designer of the social studies department at Sumner, from where she retired.

Ms. Vincent was also an Assembly of God minister, serving on the staffs of Evangel Temple in Kansas City and Victory Assembly of God, Bonner Springs, Kan.

She moved to Branson in the last few weeks from Bolivar. She had previously lived in Merriam, Kan.

She was a member of the Kansas Teachers Association and the Bolivar First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Cecil and the Rev. Ruth Vincent; two brothers, Douglas and Tim; and two sisters, Kathleen and Delsie Anne, both of whom died in infancy.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Evan and Joy Pingleton of Topeka, Kan., and Dr. Jared and Linda Pingleton of Branson; one brother, John Vincent of Portland, Ore.; and six grandchildren, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Jordan, Joshua, Joel and Joseph Pingleton.

Private burial service will be at a later date at the Bailey Chapel Cemetery in Alton. Cremation is under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson.
