Ruth Cochran Alderman, 96, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Alderman; parents, John and Ida James Cochran; son-in-law, J.L. Hill.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-laws, Margaret Hill of King, NC, Shirley and John Sindlinger of Manassas VA, Brenda and Barry Goldberg of Roanoke, and Donna and Jay Gregory of Stuart; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Robert and Wilma Alderman of Radford, and Ronald and Audrey Alderman of Hillsville; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and ten step great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Alderman family.
