MRS. JOHN STOCK OF LONE TREE DIED
PIONEER OF COUNTY DIED AT HER HOME SUNDAY EVENING FOLLOWING
ILLNESS
Lone Tree, May 18-Mrs. John Stock, a pioneer resident of this community passed away at her home here on Sunday evening, May 14th, after an illness of several months' duration.
Mrs. Stock was born in England and when only three years of age came to America with her parents (John and Maria Alsop Reynolds). After residing in New York for ten years the family came to Iowa. She was united in marriage to John Stock about fifty years ago, and leaves to mourn her loss five sons, all of whom reside in this vicinity:
George, William, Elmer, Walter, and Fred, and one daughter, Mrs. John Burr, also two sisters, Mrs. Anna McCoy of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Eliza Hamilton of Lone Tree. Mr. Stock preceded her in death a few years ago. The decedent was in her seventy-third year, and had been in failing health for sometime.
The funeral was held in the Reformed church, of which Mrs. Stock was a member, on Wednesday afternoon, May 17, with interment in the Lone Tree cemetery.
