Bonita Aldersea, 81, of Ottawa, died Friday morning, May 18, at Pleasant View. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22 in the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Rev. Nancy Rethford, Pastor of Epworth United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Aldersea was born on October 20, 1930 in Ottawa to Boniface and Lucille (Horton) Duffy. She married James B. Aldersea on April 8, 1949 in Epworth United Methodist Church. She had been employed as and X-Ray Technician at Ottawa General Hospital for a number of years. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, and Mary E. Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary L. (Harry) Burgess, of Oglesby, two grandsons, Harry Joseph Burgess, Jr. and James Gordon Burgess, four nieces, Ann Donahue, of Streator, Luci Lee McGinty, of University Place, Washington, Barbara Brown, of Salisbury, N.C., and Debra Eskew, of Sheridan, and one nephew, Dennis Duffy, of LaSalle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, on June 29, 1995, a sister, Betty J. Camplin, and a brother, Donald Duffy.
Pallbearers will be: Harry, Sr., Harry, Jr. and James Burgess, Dennis Duffy, Mike Donahue, and Wayne Hess.
Memorials may be directed to Epworth United Methodist Church.
