Elma Jane Gracie Tucker
Lake Arthur: It's with heavy hearts and great sadness for the family to announce the passing of Elma Jane Gracie Tucker, 94, of Lake Arthur, LA on October 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 6, 1924 to Tom and Louisa Procell Gracie in Ebarb, LA. She loved to cook and fish. She loved to travel, in her younger years, especially by motorcycle.
Elma was a homemaker who dedicated her life to taking care of her family, in which she loved very much. She was a kind and loving person, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until her funeral Mass at the church with Father Richard Norsworthy officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Zwolle, LA.
Elma is survived by her son, Larey Paul Tucker of Lake Arthur, LA; her six precious grandchildren, Dwayne, Debra Kaye, Keith, Doug, Larry, Jr. and Lozen; 5 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Elma is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lawrence Tucker; her daughter, Charlene Tucker Manshack; five brothers, Gene, Melvin, J.L., Clayton and Johnny Gracie; sisters, Marie Rivers and Dorothy "Aunt Lady" Hedgepeck.
