Graveside service for Frances Aldean Bowers was Monday in Park Hill Cemetery. She died Friday in a Vancouver hospital at age 88. Mrs. Bowers was born in Hubbard, Ore., and had lived in Vancouver since 1976. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary and Our Lady of Lourdes Church, both in Vancouver. Surviving Mrs. Bowers are her daughter, Catherine Noce of Vancouver; several nieces and nephews, including Elaine Wilk of Bellevue, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to a charity of the donor's choice. (The Oregonian, 14 Jun 1988)
