Samuel F. MacDoudall, Son of Archibald MacDougall (b. 1810 in Scotland - d. abt. 1875 in Pa.) and Barbara Laird (b. 1814 Scotland - d. abt 1884 in Pa.) His parents first immigrated in 1839 to Nova Scotia, possible, Sydney, Cape Breton, N.S. and then moved down to the States, Schuylkill Co., Pa. about 1842-44..
Samuel was born and raised in Schuylkill Co., Pa. and married Mary Reid Brown.
Samuel and Mary MacDougall had six children:
1. Archibald (1873-1891).
2. Samuel Patrick Brown MacDougall (1878-1964)
3. Bertha A. (1881-1967)
4.Stewart MacFarland MacDougall (1883-1959)
5.Herman Albert (1866-1971)
6.Marion MacDougall, (1889-1913).

Samuel died from the lingering effects of black lung when he went out to Turtle Creek, Allegheny Co. Pa. to visit his daughter, Bertha MacDougall Carbley. Samuel was buried with his wife Mary and son Archibald MacDougall, but his name and dates were not added to the black granite stone that sits with the Patrick N and Mary R. Brown stones.
