The husband of Sarah Jane Albright and father of Elizabeth (b. @1857), in 1860, he was a laborer living in Franklin Township, Huntingdon County. He stood 5' 9" tall and had brown hair and hazel eyes.
A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Harrisburg June 8, 1863, and mustered into federal service there June 11 as a private with Co. I, 5th Pennsylvania Reserves (aka 34th Pennsylvania Infantry). He deserted from a Philadelphia hospital on April 11, 1864, and did not return to duty.
