Clarence was ordained as a deacon of Lone Oak Baptist Church of Robbinsville on October 11, 1925.  He was then later ordained as a minister of the Gospel of the Lord on July 11, 1936.  During his life, Clarence pastored several churches in Graham and Cherokee Counties:  Mtn Creek Baptist, Lone Oak Baptist, Bear Creek Baptist, Cedar Cliff Baptist, Sweetwater Baptist and Rock Springs (known now as Santeetlah Baptist Church).  In Cherokee County the churches were Hewitts Baptist, Maltby Baptist, Red Marble Baptist, Upper Peachtree Baptist, Topton Baptist, Harmony Baptist and Murphy Second Baptist Church. Clarence preached and pastored for the glory of the Lord for 44 years until health problems kept him from being able to do so.  Not only did Clarence preach and pastor several churches, he also went around to different churches and held a singing school.  Some of the songs are still being sung in our churches today.  An interesting thing about the churches that Clarence was pastor of, the first and last one were the same, Mtn. Creek Baptist of Robbinsville. The impact and impression of Clarence Adams and his love of the Lord is still living today through his children and grandchildren.  If you ever talked to Clarence, you knew before your conversation was over just how much he did love the Lord.
