COLFAX - Grace Frances Beers Brown, 81, died at 4:30 AM Thursday, Oct. 6, 1977, in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Lebanon, where she had been a patient since January and in ill-health two years. She was born at West Point and lived most of her life in Jackson Township and Lafayette. She was married here on March 11, 1915, to Robert Brown, who died in 1975.

Mrs. Brown was employed at the Memorial Union Building and the Women's Halls of Purdue University. She was a member of West Point United Methodist Church, Bethany White Shrine, and Odell Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Elizabeth (Mrs. William) Skeep of Colfax, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Stringer of Garden Grove, CA, and Gladys (Mrs. William( Horn of West Point; a brother, Mark Beers of West Point; a grandson, William R. Brown of Indianapolis; and four great-grandchildren.
