James L. Thayer, age 78, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geraldine L. Thayer; four sons, Jim (Mary Kay), Dan (Cory), Chuck (Paula) and Tim Thayer; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob (Lorie) Thayer, 2 sisters, Doris (Jim) Seeley and Rene (D. Bruce) MacKenzie.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles K. and Angela V. (nee Stukel) Thayer; one brother and 2 sisters.

Private funeral services were held. Interment with Full Military Honors were held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
