Son of THOMAS (Lt.) TRACY Sr 1610 – 1685 (per the Pilgrim Society, mother was Mary Ann Conway, widow Mason but that has evidently been disproved)

Also, per the pilgrim society documentation, born 1644, died April 1721.

"(XXVIII) Captain John Tracy, son of Lieutenant Thomas and Mary (Mason) Tracy, was born at Wethersfield, in 1642, died at Norwich, August 16, 1702. He was one of the original proprietors of Norwich, justice of the peace, represented his town in the legislature at six sessions, and was prominent in all public affairs. He married, August 17, 1670, Mary, born 1646, died July 21, 1721, daughter of Josiah and Margaret (Bourne) Winslow and niece of Governor Winslow of the "Mayflower."

HOWEVER, the above is very old -- SOURCE: "Genealogical History of Central New York - Tracy, page 671, with NO PROOF

HOWEVER, the above is very old with no sources - here is what is currently thought regarding his father:

"Identities of earlier wive(s) [of Thomas Tracy, Sr.] are not known. Martha was not the mother of any of his children. Any information that names his earlier wives is from very old sources, and is not proven. That she was Mary, widow of Edward Mason, has not been proven. See NEHG REGISTER 61(1907):93."

"Thomas Tracy's father Lt. Thomas Tracy had been in the early military militia as an office during Colonial days. Thomas Tracy was born at Wethersfield Conn around 1644. He married around 1674 to Sarah -- cannot be traced. He and his brother Johnathan settled upon the wild, unreclaimed lands on the east side of the Shetucket, then belonging to Norwich but afterwards included in Preston. He was declared a freeman in 1683. In 1684 he served as a constable. He died 1724. His will was dated 1721 and proved 1724." (from member #47123608)

In addition"Thomas was married to Sarah [possibly Edgarton, born in 1648, death date unknown].. They were the parents of Thomas Tracy III, born 1687, died 1755, married to Abigail Rudd." (from member #48471083, with no proof; source is an unsourced familysearch.org entry)
