HEBER CITY/Salt Lake City - Our precious and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on March 3, 1999 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. Agnes Adaline Anderson was born on April 28, 1913 in Ortley, South Dakota, to Oscar Herman Anderson and Alma Bertina Oslakson. She was converted to the LDS Church and came to Utah to visit the family of the missionaries who converted her. She met Orlo James Crittenden and they were married on November 20, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Hoytsville until 1958. They moved to Heber City after her husband became employed with the Utah Highway Patrol. They had five children. Their first born were twin sons, Richard and Ronald, who passed away shortly after birth. Orlo died June 6, 1982. Agnes served in many church positions while living in the Hoytsville Ward and in the Daniels Ward. Mom had a great love for traveling. She and her family members visited various sites throughout the world. She was a wonderful cook and would prepare exceptional meals when her family members from South Dakota and California would come to visit. She developed the talent of upholstering furniture. She generously donated all of the proceeds from this endeavor to various LDS organizations within the Heber, Coalville and Hoytsville areas. She would travel weekly with her friends from Heber to attend temple sessions at the Provo Temple. At the age of 76 her dream came true when she was called to serve a mission in the Dallas, Texas Temple. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. Mom had a sparkle in her eye, a contagious laugh and a smile that was always present when she greeted family or friends. She left this world smiling and in good spirits. Her selfless acts of charity are an example for all of us to follow. We will miss you greatly but know you are happy and with your loved ones. A special thanks to Karen Waite who has been a loving care giver and friend to our Mom these past two years. Karen brought her sunshine every day. Thanks to the Vista Care Hospice Foundation for their support. She was survived by [names deleted]. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons, husband, two sisters, Alvina Clark and Hazel Newman, two brothers, Robert Anderson and Harold Anderson, step brothers, James and John Kearney. Funeral services will be held March 6, 1999 at 1 p.m. in the Hoytsville Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening, March 5, 1999 at the Heber East Stake Center, 2395 Mill South Road, Heber City from 6-8 p.m. Prior to the funeral there will be a viewing at the Hoytsville Church from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment in the Hoytsville Cemetery.
