1) Eliza - had a son 1844 Joseph L Horan who was a Union Drummer in 159th infantry in Civil War
2) 1808 Alicia "Alice" - had 4 sons (2 were Fighting Irish in 63rd infantry in Civil War) & 1 daughter
3) 1827 Catherine - had 1 son, this *Eugene Horan*

In 1848, John left Ireland for America with 5 boys and 1 girl, Margaret "Mary".

In 1850, John established a fruit business in Brooklyn, NY (money with land holdings in Mullingar, County of Westmeath)

Per 1870 Census, John is retired baker living in Brooklyn, NY with his 3rd wife, Catherine, and his son, *Eugene*.
