He was born in Glendale, son of the late Raymond and Susan (Thompson) Young. He was the last living charter member of the former Glendale Fire Dept. He and his wife were married 69 years.
Survivors include, son Raymond Young Jr., sister-Averil "Bid" Maher, grandchildren Elizabeth Cabana, Susan Capozzi, Raymond A. and Jeffery Young and six great grandchildren.
Funeral Services and Burial in Slatersville Cemetery was held privately. Arrangements are under the directions of the BROWN FUNERAL HOME 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
