MRS. JOSEPH KRENK

Mrs. Joseph Krenk, sister of Mrs. Anton Hajek, and Mrs. Frank Marek of Schuyler, passed away at her farm home near Bee last Thursday after an illness of a few months due to cancer. The funeral rites were conducted at the Bee Catholic church Saturday morning at ten o'clock with interment in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Krenk's maiden name was Miss Stazie Shalon. She was born on her parents' old homestead in Butler County, two and a half miles south of Linwood on January 12, 1878. It was here that the early part of her life was spent. She was united in marriage to Joseph Krenk at Abie on October 31, 1899. Soon after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Krenk moved on a farm near Bee where they have since made their home.

Surviving are the husband, three daughters, Mrs. Frank Moravec, Mrs. Joseph Moravec, and Miss Olga Krenk, all of Bee, one brother, James Shalon of Linwood, and three sisters, Mrs. Anton Hajek, Mrs. Frank Marek, both of Schuyler, and Mrs. Anton Brym of Bee.

Mrs. Krenk would have been 52 years of age Sunday, had her life been spared that long. She was very popular in her home and community and was very prominent as an active worker in the Catholic parish at Bee, as was evidenced by the numerous beautiful floral tributes sent by friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marek and son, Charles, Mrs. Emil Marek, Mrs. Anton Hajek, all of Schuyler, James Shalon, and son, Rudolph Shalon and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Barta, all of Linwood, motored to Bee Saturday morning to attend the funeral rites.
