Mary Lou Bell, age 87, died on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Tulsa. She was born December 9, 1924, to J.J. and Julia Ann Schwemin in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1942. In 1944 she married Arthur Lee Bell, her high school sweetheart, and in 1950 they moved to Tulsa.

Mary Lou was past president of Catholic Business & Professional Women's Club and Cathedral Women's Club; joined Branding Irons square dancers and Phi Sigma Alpha sorority. An avid bridge player, she joined several bridge clubs.

She is survived by her daughter; son; granddaughter; grandson; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Art.

Mary Lou will be remembered for her determination, humor and love of family. We will miss you, MaMa, and love you always…..

Viewing will be 10:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Calvary Cemetery Chapel.
