Darius Elliott Sanders was born Nov. 3, 1852, at West Jersey, Stark County, Illinois and passed away at Neal, Kansas, October 21, 1932, aged 79 years, 11 months and 18 days. He move to Iowa Falls, Iowa in 1881 where he farmed and also taught school there.
On November 16, 1882, he was married to Minerva Divan. To this union 4 children were born, M. L. Sanders of Neal, Kansas, C. A. sanders of Bradford, Iowa, Maud Mahoffa and Grace Mann of Neal who passed away September 24, 1932, the rest with one brother, F. E. sanders of Iowa Falls, Iowa are left to mourn his loss.
He moved to Beloit, Kansas in 1898, where he lived until the spring of 1906 and moved to Neal, Kansas where he has since lived and followed the occupation of farming.
the funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Neal, Kansas, October 23 by Rev. J. W. Mosslander, pastor and Rev. G. J. Rhodes of Hamilton, Kansas.
Interments was in the family lot at the Neal Cemetery.
