John Edward "Ed" Davis, age 85, of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009, in Jourdanton, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Davis of Pleasanton; daughter Wanda Patterson and husband Bobby of Helotes and son, Jimmy Davis and wife Linda of Rockport. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Meghan Willshire and husband Kevin of San Antonio, Robert A. "BJ" Patterson II, of College Station, Cory Davis of Somerville, Ryan Davis and wife Shannon of Rockport, Marcie Davis, Katie Davis, as well as great grandchildren, Trevor Davis and Kelsi Davis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Mary Davis; brother, William Caball Davis; sister, Alice Faye Thompson and grandson, Shawn Davis.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton from 2:00PM - 8:00PM on Sunday, Janurary 4, 2009. The family will receive friends between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM on Sunday evening. The funeral service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home (Pleasanton) at 11:00AM on Monday, January 5, 2009. Interment will be at Tumlinson Cemetery near Leming, Texas.
