Mrs. Viola May Mason
Council Grove -- Mrs. Viola May Mason, 86, Council Grove, died Friday, January 10,at a Council Grove nursing home.

She was born March 7, 1899, at Miltonvale, the daughter of Al and Elizabeth Fuller Perry.

She married Hobert Mason Sept. 6, 1916, at Howard. The moved to Council Grove in 1932 where they owned and operated a service station and grocery store. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Don Mason, Council Grove; a sister, Mrs. Alva Knapp, Severy; a grandson; and a great grandson.

Graveside services will be held today in Greenwood Cemetery at Council Grove. Mrs. Mason will lie in state until 1:30 p.m. today at Kendall Funeral Home here. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.

Mrs. Mason created may handmade quilts and may pieces of embroidery work and crochet pieces. Anytime she was sitting in a chair at home one would find her making something with her hands.
