Lowell Roger Lybrand

Lowell Roger Lybrand, Midland, born July 22, 1921 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. He passed away October 12, 2006.

He married his wife, Dorothy Pauline Lybrand, of 59 years in Griffin, Georgia in 1947. They moved to Texas in the late 1957, and resided in Andrews for 42 years before moving to Midland in 2001.

He worked for Phillips Petroleum in the Permian Basin, Northern England, and Mariciabo, Venezuela, South America for 37 years.

Survivors include five children, Mary Lybrand Perez of Midland, Barbie Nightengale of Midland, L. Roger Lybrand, Jr. of Eureka Springs, Ark Les Lybrand of Andrews, and Stephanie Dortch of Midland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He served in the South Pacific during WWII in the U S Army 1940 - 1945.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 47 years.

Graveside services will be in Andrews at 2 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2006.
