Helen Frances Rivers, 86, of Waveland, passed away at St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette, Monday morning.

She was born on July 19, 1925, to Augustus Belmont and Lenora Blanche (Robison) Simms in Crawfordsville.

She was a homemaker and member of Binky Patrol, Waveland Covenant United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Waveland High School in 1943.

She married Max Rivers on September 25, 1944, and he preceded her in death in 1998. Survivors include one son Victor (Janet) Rivers, of Waveland, three daughters Mary Ann (Jerry) McMindes, of Battle Ground, Ester Jane (Dave) Vetterkine, of Anchor Point, Alaska, Ramona (Ferndo) Vazquez, Concord CA, one brother Charles (Delores) Simms, of Lafayette, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Proceeded by Parents and seven siblings.

Graveside Services will be held at Portland Mills Cemetery on Thursday May 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Bill Pike will officiate. There will be no visitation. Machledt & Servies Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.machledtservies.com.
