Mrs. WALTON Dies at 93

RANGER (RNS) - Mrs. Sula Jane WALTON, 93, long time Ranger resident, died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday in the Western Manor Nursing and convalescent Home here.

She had been a resident of Ranger since 1899.

Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Second Baptist Church here, with the Rev. Charles BUSH, pastor of Second Baptist, and the Rev. Lee FIELDS, pastor of East Side Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Alameda Cemetery here under direction of Killingsworth Funeral Home.

Born at Fulton, Miss., Dec. 30, 1874, she was the former Sula Jane MELTON. She married John T. WALTON Oct. 18, 1896, in Clarksville. He died April 3, 1957.

Survivors include one son, Dan WALTON of Chaney community; two daughters, Mrs. F. E. FERRELL of Ranger and Mrs. Lela LOCKHART of Sweetwater; two half-brothers, Luther and Bird D. MELTON, both of Odessa; several nieces and nephew, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wilbur OVERSTREET, E.E. (Bud) BLACKWELL, Lynn GENTRY, Jack ROGERS, Ben FREEMAN, Shirley BROWN.
