Obituary


Services for Ella Mae Alsbrooks of 220 Madison St. in Lufkin are scheduled for 10 am Monday in First Baptist Church of Corrigan with Rev. Milfred Minatrea officiating and assisted by Rev. H. Earl Calloway and Rev. Royce Pennington. Burial will be in Union Springs Cemetery.


Mrs. Alsbrooks, 70, died Saturday in a Lufkin hospital after an extended illness. She was a Past Noble Grand of Seven Star Rebekah Lodge of Lufkin, No. 194, and a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church.


Survivors: son, L. C. Alsbrooks of Corrigan; 4 daughters, Clara Burchfield of Lufkin, Audrey Sprayberry, Milli Minnie Russell and Elba Jean Kennedy, all of Corrigan; brother, L. J. Wilkins of Corrigan; step-son, McCoy Duff; step-daughters, Earline Bennett, Mary Williams and Bonnie Haggerton; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 18 step-grandchildren.
