Leslie was hus. of late Elsie (Smith) Porter who rests beside him. He died suddenly in the Brockton Hospital following a massive heart attack. He had been employed for 31 years as wholesale grocery salesman at the E.C. Hall Co. in Brockton. he was also one of the most active members of the Waldo Congregational Church, Montello where he served as moderator and treasurer of the church.
he was a veteran of WWI and WWII, serving in the army 15 months during the first conflict overseas in France and with the navy Seabees overseas in the Pacific War Theater in WWII serving with the 99th construction battalion as a storekeeper 1/c.
He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and American Legion Post #5.
