Born Jan. 23, 1924, in Milroy, he was the son of the late Russell W. Pecht Sr., and Mary E. (Henry) Pecht. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marian L. (Reeder) Pecht April 4, 2006, and siblings, M. June Karchner, Patty Lou Close, Betty Jane Wagner and Dennis K. Pecht.
He is survived by daughter, Sharon E. Bradley, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Kristofer Bradley and Erin Steele; and great-grandchildren, Addi and Adesa Bradley.
Russell was enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II during the European Theater.
He was Lutheran by faith.
Russell was first employed at FMC in Lewistown, then upon moving to Levittown in 1952 he worked at U.S. Steel and later owned and operated Dave's Bottle Shop, in Lewistown, from 1968-1986.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 287 in Milroy for 75 years, and City Hook and Ladder.
Russell was an avid fan of Penn State football and the Philadelphia Philles.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
