Dies At Home
At Age of 74
Mrs. Mittie Sumner Brummer, 74, mother of Wamboldt and Homer Sumner, who were lost on the Coast Guard Cutter U. S. S. Tampa, which was sunk during the World War, died last night at her home, W. Amelia Ave. Mrs. Brummer came to Tampa 24 years ago from Dade City where she had lived since early childhood. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Goddard, Mrs. Clyde Barclay, Mrs. Edith Davis and Miss Lucile Sumner, Tampa, and Mrs. Elmer C. Haas, Jacksonville; one son, Mabry Sumner, Tampa; four sisters, Mrs. J. L. Roumillat, Jacksonville; Mrs. Fannie McCutcheon, St. Petersburg; Mrs. H. O. Snow and Mrs. William MacDonald, Tampa; one brother, L. B. Roberts, Tampa; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
