In 1920 he and his parents and two siblings lived on a farm they owned, mortgage free, on Big Run Road near Ravenswood, WV.

In 1930 he and his parents and five siblings lived there. Their home was valued at $7000, and they did not have a radio.

In 1950 he and his wife and their son lived with her mother and brother Kelly on a farm in Union District, Jackson County, WV. He worked as a traveling salesman for a chemical supply company.

CARL CLAWSON HUTCHISON, age 95, of Evans, WV, passed away May 13, 2012, at his home. He was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Ravenswood, WV, a son of the late Oscar Cyril and Molly Mable (Ford) Hutchison.

His wife, Charldean B. (Cunningham) Hutchison, also preceded him in death.

He was a graduate of Marshall College, Huntington, WV, where he received a bachelor's degree in physical education. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and a World War II, United States Army veteran. He was the founder of Hutchison Sanitary Supply and owner/operator of Hutchison Farms.

Survivors include:
his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Helen Hutchison of Evans, WV;
daughter and her husband, Lelia Cristine and Dean Pauley of Barboursville, WV;
grandsons, Dr. Lewis Hutchison Pauley and John Carl "Manny" Pauley;
brother, Aubrey Hutchison of Morgantown, WV;
sister, Marjorie Davis of Ellenboro, WV;
a very special caregiver, Pam Fields;
several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service at Otterbein Cemetery, Evans, WV with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre officiating and military honors provided by the Jackson County veteran's organizations.
