Austerman, Alfred B. Bob Alfred Austerman has recently accepted a permanent driving position with Celestial Freight Lines on Sunday, May 13, 2012. Sadly he leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Georgene Austerman (nee Matthes); his children, George Austerman, Michael (Carol) Austerman, Jean (Steve) Austerman-Dumovich, Denny (Margie) Steinbach and Harold (Colleen) Steinbach; his grandchildren Kelli, Matt (Alex), Jason and Mark; his great-grandchildren Illyria and Zadie; his sister Morene Portell and brother Leroy Austerman; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Mr. Austerman was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran serving under General Patton. His grandkids will be eternally grateful for his sense of humor that he passed along. It was Grandpa's best trait. Remember Pop, how the family was waiting for you at the terminal the day you retired? Now you'll be waiting at the terminal for us. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Wednesday, May 16, 9:30 a.m. In terment National Cemetery. Memorials to Animal rescue appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 6-9 p.m.
