Carrie L. Hartson, 85, died yesterday at the home of her daughter in Mill Valley after a short illness.
Mrs. Hartson first came to Mill Valley in 1933. In recent years she had alternated her residence, spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. Edith Buchholz, at 510 Northern Avenue, and the rest with her granddaughter, Mrs. Mario (Wanda) Zuffinetti in San Diego.
She was born in Colorado and was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Mill Valley.
Mrs. Hartson is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Buchholz; Lois Swanson of San Francisco; Mrs. Dorothy Larson of San Rafael; and Mrs. Kathryn Staples of Berkeley; a son, Donald Hartson of Arizona; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley. Burial will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
