Funeral services for Mark E. Brown, 56, of 2105 South street, who died in Southern Pacific hospital in Houston at 10:45 a.m. Sunday will be held at the Roberts funeral chapel at 4 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Joe Z.Power, pastor of the First Methodist church will officiate. Interment will be in the Magnolia cemetery. Members of Beaumont Masonic lodge No. 286 will have charge of the services at the grave. Members of the Masonic order will meet at Masonic temple at 3 p.m. and will go in a body to the service. Mr. Brown had resided in this city for 30 years. He was an engineer for the Southern Pacific Railway company for many years and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers. He was a native of Pasqua, Tenn. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sally Mae Brown; two daughters, Mrs. H.H. McDaniel of Austin and Miss Maxine Brown of Beaumont; three sons, Raymond, Mark E., Jr., and Dwight Brown, all of Beaumont; two sisters, Mrs. Jess B. Bessinger of Houston and Mrs. Paul McNebb of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and five brothers, Neil Brown of Merion, Pa., John Brown of Biloxi, Miss., James, Jesse and Samuel, all of Houston.
