Mrs. B.K. Appleman, 78, resident of this city for 37 years, died in her home, 498 College street at 2:25 a.m. Friday. She had been ill for about four years. Mrs. Appleman's family was prominent here for many years, her husband being the early Buick dealer in Beaumont. She came here from Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be held at the Roberts chapel at 4 p.m. Saturday. A Christian Science Reader will officiate. Interment will be in Magnolia cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.B. Bishop, Vernon Brock, H.L. Warren Sr., Harry W. Sutton, Olin Cable and C.E. Pool. Surviving are the husband, B.K. Appleman; a daughter, Mrs. J.W. Caffey, and three grandchildren, all of this city.
