Miss Jennie M. Stratton of Bridgeport married Mr. William Tucker May 8, 1878. Together they had eleven children, Mrs. William (Ola Mae) Clift of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. William H.(Jennie)Frank, Miss Adelade Gertrude Tucker, Miss Grace Edith Tucker of Brooklyn, N.Y., Gladys Eda and Evelyn Violet,William Howard, Herbert Raymond, Everett Erastus and Charlton Earle Tucker. They lived at 43 Elm ST (sadly the home no longer exists, in its place is an intersection of roads but family stories describe it as having been a large beautiful victorian home) in Hartford CT and her husband was an esteemed police officer for 39 years as well as a civil war veteran. After her husband's death in 1909, she made her home in NYC with her daughters gladys and evelyn who were the only ones still living at home. She died in the home of her daughter Gladys in 1933 , in Wethersfield CT, who cared for her at the end of her life.
