Gilbert Suzor died at his home in Chippewa Twp. at 8 o,clock Tuesday morning of acute gastric catarrh, being sick three weeks. He was born in Monroe in the southern part of the state March 31st, 1826; being 79 years., 1 month and 9 days of age. He served in the battle of Petersburg. He was also a member of the G.A.R. He leaves daughters, Mrs. Henry Ellison (ARNA) of Deerfield, Mrs. John W. Smith (ELVIRA), of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Jacob Goffnet (MELINDA), of Chippewa Twp. He was a kind father and loving husband and father. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 10 o,clock from the house. Interment in Chippewa Cemetery, services being conducted by Rev. Dutton of Mt. Pleasant M. E. Church. Pall bearers were his G.A.R. Comrades
