Deceased had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church for about sixty years, and during that time she served her Master with the love and fidelity of a true, consecrated Christian woman. Her life work closed, she has gone to receive the reward that remaineth for the faithful, and to dwell forever in perfect bliss with God and the angels.
Mrs. Voss was married to Dr. E.C. Voss about 56 years ago, and to the union eleven children were born, six of whom are still living, namely: Messrs. S.H., T.M. and John Voss, Mrs. Sam Stewart, Mrs. Martin Stokes and Miss Sallie Voss. To the children and other relative the deepest sympathy is extended. -- Columbia Herald, 6 Jan 1899.
