She was a Loving Mother of three beautiful children Curtis Meade Tonya Sue Meade and Stephanie Alberta Meade. SHe was born in mingo county wv and resided there until her marriage to shelby meade then moved to cumberland ky Where she stayed until her son cutis was 2 years old and daughter tonya 1 year old . She then moved back to mingo county to resolve some issues with her marriage to shelby. They eventually divorced a few months later and she moved to Columbus Ohio where she met Russell Smith and had another daughter Stephanie Alberta Meade. Barbra never married Russ so Stephanies name never changed from Barbras married name Meade. Barbra lived in ohio for 7 years a single mother until she met David Cavener and married him after a short marriage to david she was murdered found beaten to death in her home in columbus ohio. her funeral services were held in columbus for two days for her friends and family and then her body was transported from Columbus Ohio to Mingo county where her two children lived with their father Shelby Ray Meade jr and where most of her family church is located her service was held for 3 days at the Breeden Church of God in Jennies creek WV !!! Services were held by callahan funeral services in columbus and mingo county. She received a presonal secretaril award before her death .
