Dr. Glenn Ray Hunt, 51, of Copperas Gbve, died Wednesday,Oct. 23, 1996. Memorial services were held Saturday, Oct. 26 at Kingdom Hall in Copperas Cove. He was the son of Lt. Elba G. Hunt and Jeannette Bowling Hunt and was born in the Wellington Hospital on November 21, 1944. His father was home on leave when he was born but never saw him again. Lt. Hunt was a pilot of a B-29 Bomber that went down in Tokyo Bay in May of 1945.

Dr. Hunt's mother died in Lubbock in 1987. His grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Bowling, all of Dodson.

Dr. Hunt was raised and educated in Dodson and graduated from Dodson High School in 1962. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wayland Baptist University in 1966; graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1970; served his internship at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah and served his surgical residency at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple. He was an emergency room physician at Scott and White for five years and served one year as head of the emergency room. Dr. Hunt was then emergency room physician for one year at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco after which he entered private practice for a year in Temple and then in Copperas Cove since 1980.

Dr. Hunt married Judy Ann McKinzie on August 22, 1967 in Plainview. He was a member of the American Medical Association, Coryell County Medical Association and a charter member of the American Mountain Men Association.

Survivors include his wife, Judy of Copperas Cove; three sons, Christopher Hunt and Matthew Hunt, both of Houston and Timothy Hunt of Copperas Cove; a brother, Mike Teutsch of Lubbock; a sister, Nancy Chenault of Mesa, AZ and his stepfather, Floyd Teutsch of Lubbock.
