ROBERT I. WEYANT

Mr. Weyant, 84, of 415 Front St , Hollidaysburg, died at 6:35 a.m. Monday, May 17, 1993, at Mercy Hospital, following a brief illness.
Mr. Weyant retired from the air brake shops of the Samuel Rea Shops, Hollidaysburg, of Penn Central Railroad in 1973.
He was born Sept. 3, 1908, in Saxton, the son of Harry and Nancy (Benner) Weyant.
He was twice married, first to Fern Perrin. She died March 2, 1974. Then he married Mary E. Mentzer in October 1978.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mary Ella Campbell of Hollidaysburg RR 3; three stepsons: Ronald Cunningham, Wayne Cunningham and Steven Mentzer of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters; Gladys Shoup and Ada E. Beard of Duncansville, Dorothy Clapper of Hollidaysburg and Virginia Wert of Altoona.
Mr. attended Frankstown Park Missionary Church.
He was a member of Allegheny Club, Hollidaysburg, and Fort Fetter American Legion Post, Hollidaysburg.
Mr. Weyant was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe, and received the Purple Heart medal.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.

WEYANT---Services for Robert I. Weyant of 415 Front St., Hollidaysburg, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Plank & Stitt Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, by the Rev. Joseph Sabo Jr.
Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Henrietta.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Plank & Stitt Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
