Glenn moved to Evansville, IN to work at the LST shipyard during World War II. From there he had a long career with the Farm Bureau Refinery in Mt. Vernon where he met his wife of 56 years, Louise (McCarty) Brown. After Glenn’s career with the refinery he became an inspector with United Oil Products and traveled extensively throughout the United States and much of the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Clarence Jr., Cecil, and Floyd Brown.
He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Brown and partner, Donald Szwed of Louisville, KY; son, Brian (Susie) Brown of Mt. Vernon, IN; sister, Mary Francis Loveless; grandsons, John (Terri) Friedlein, Christopher Friedlein, Seth (Sarah) Brown and granddaughter, Samantha (Rohi) Fentress.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 24, 2014 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St. Mt. Vernon, IN with Rev. Tom Hubachek officiating and burial to follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.
