Ohio, SHELBY
Kathleen Ada (Crist) Dorsey, 81, went home to be with her Savior and Lord on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, following her passing in Crestwood Care Center, Shelby.

She was born March 10, 1931, in Nallen, W.Va., one of 13 children born to John Wesley Crist and Bessie Mae (Legg).

Kathleen was a member of Willard Calvary Baptist Church for many years until moving to Shelby in 1985. She was very active in her service of the Lord while in Willard. After moving to Shelby she attended Calvary Baptist Church. Over the years she loved serving the Lord in her church, serving others and setting a Godly example for her children. She loved her family and always was in prayer for them. Her family will always cherish the memories of their mother and bear testimony of her love for Christ and family.
Over the years Kathleen worked at the Spinning Wheel Restaurant, Crestwood Care Center, P & R Data Systems and provided in home health care for area residents.

Kathleen is survived by five children, Carolyn Coffey of Shelby, Everson (Judy) Dorsey Jr. of Attica, Beth (Jeff) Hamman of Shiloh, Steve (Debbie) Dorsey of Shelby and Paul (De) Dorsey of Savannah, Ohio; one brother Jim Crist of Athens, Ohio; two sisters, Audrey Sevy of West Virginia and Ermalee S. Willis of Monroeville; countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband whom she was married to for 40 years, Everson R. Dorsey; parents and five brothers and four sisters, Charles Crist of Indiana, Bud Crist of Indiana, Bertha Williams, Michigan, Calvin Crist, Jesse Crist, Robert Crist, Monthressa Crist, Naomi Crist and Arlene Crist, all of West Virginia; one grandson Michael.

Friends may call 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Barkdull Funeral Home, Shelby, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday May 5. Pastor Steven L. Schag will officiate with interment in Sand Hill Cemetery.
