From the Brownwood Bulletin of 24 March 1966:
Funeral service for Mrs. Mary L. (Nora) Lancaster. 85. of 413 N First St., Bangs, will be held in Bangs Baptist Church with time to be announced later. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery under direction of Wright's Funeral Home. A member of the Baptist church and Bangs Eastern Star lodge, Mrs. Lancaster died today at 7:30 a.m. in a Brownwood hospital after a long illness. She was born Feb. 7. 1881 in Daviston, Ala and had lived at Bangs 20 years. She married W. T. Lancaster in Bell County in 1899. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wilburn Graves of Bangs and Mrs. Odie Griffith of Coleman; one son, J D. Lancaster of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Mrs. W. R. Malone and Mrs. Mattie Roscoe, both of Brownwood, and Mrs. Troy Miller of Burkburnett: two brothers, H. C. Milam of San Diego, Calif and Ben Milam of Brownwood; 10 grandchildren, and 25 (great)grandchildren.
