Elbert Franklin Young, 75, of Greenville Road in Hopkinsville, died at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, after a brief illness in Jeannie Stewart Hospital.
He was born in Christian County on February 13, 1905 the son of the late Dalton and Rozzie Crick Young.
Mr. Young was a retired business man.
He is survived by four sons, Mr. June Elbert Young, Madisonville, Mr. Charles H. Young, Madisonville, Mr. D. D. Young, Hopkinsville and Mr. Chester Young, Hopkinsville; four daughters, Mrs. Mike Epley, Hopkinsville, Mrs. Allan Still, Hopkinsville, Mrs. Bob Pursley, Hopkinsville, and Mrs. Robey Pollard, Hopkinsville; four brothers, Mr. Curtis Young, Lenvil Young, 0. A. Young, and Ellis Young; three sisters, Mrs. Morton Summer, Madisonville, Mrs. Laurel Hicks, Madisonville, Mrs. Leoda Fuller, Henderson; two granddaughters, Mrs. Kirby Carver, Madisonville, and Mrs. Terry Mitchell, Madisonville; 17 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Hughart Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
