Washington, Pa., Jan 21--Silas M Crispin, Civil War veteran, died yesterday, aged 82. He was born in Morris Township in 1822, his parents having been early pioneers in the settling of Western Pennsylvania. When the war broke out, deceased enlisted in Company D, 140th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and served with distinction. In the battle of Gettysburg he was twice wounded. Mr. Crispin is survived by his wife and these children: Mary L. Crispin, Washington; Mrs. Abram M.
