Thomas "Tommy" Gomez

Tommy Gomez passed away Oct. 24, 2004, at the age of 76.

He was born Sept. 10, 1928, to Antonio Gomez and Angelica Roybal in Smugler, Colo. Most of his life, he was a locomotive engineer working for Phelps Dodge for 35 years.

He married Armida Garcia, and they lived for 56 years in Clifton. Together they raised seven children, Thomas Dean Gomez of Mesa, Dwight Anthony Gomez of Phoenix, Deborah Villescas, Della Carlisle, Yvonne Siqueiros, all of Morenci, Cindy Hayden of Scottsdale and Brenda Kason of Emberg.

Services for Tommy were held Thursday and Friday, Oct. 28 and 29. Deacon Richard Gonzalez recited the rosary, and Rev. Raul H. Rosales was the celebrant for the Mass. Both services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Armida; his children; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Service arrangements were entrusted to Morris Safford Funeral Home.
