Marie Albertina DAVICK b. Woonsocket, Sanborn County, SD Nov. 5, 1893 daughter of Peter Valdemar Rasmus Davick (b. Feb. 5, 1864 in Davik, Norway- d. Ap. 12, 1947 Stanley, ND) and Kristina Lefdahl (b. Aug.17, 1861 in Nordfjord, Norway- d. 1923 Stanley, ND).

On Oct. 13, 1921 in Kenmare, ND, Marie married Walter Carl CHRISTENSEN, son of Lars Christian Christensen and Louise (Loise) Lisette Dorthea Augusta Walter, Danish immigrants

Marie graduated from Northwood Nursing School in Northwood, ND. She was an Army Nurse during World War I. Maria spent some of her time training in Chicago and joined the joined the army and was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. She had a chance to go over to France. Marie founded the Kenmare Garden Club in Kenmare, ND. She also judged flower shows in Minot, ND. She was an excellent cook making special Norwegian and Danish dishes. She and Walter helped found the Nazareth Lutheran Church were they were active members. Marie was know for her hospitality and kind disposition.

To this union were born four children:
1. Llewellyn David Christensen (1926-1966) m. Marjorie Ann Aamodt.
2. Walter Curtis Christensen m. Maureen Mayfield Miller
3. Myrna Louise Christensen m.(1) Wes Christopherson (2) Leonard "Patton" Klein
4. Carol Jean Christensen (1932-2007)m. Myron Bothun (div)
