Preacher also summoned by spirits to hasten here from Butte on account of death. While sitting at a table with his wife in their home, 3924 Sherman Street, Sunday night having a private séance, Seymour Simpson, who has been a spiritualist for 40 years, received a message that he was going to pass away in a very short time, and also was a view of himself in a mystic haze lying in a coffin. Immediately following the reading Mr. Simpson bathed and dressed and in two hours passed away. The funeral will take place Friday from Smith's funeral chapel with a spiritualist service, Rev. Cora Kincannon Smith officiating. Mr. Simpson had not been seriously ill. He had been troubled with asthma for a number of years. Mrs. Simpson notified the parents of the Rev. Cora Kincannon of the Golden Rule Spiritualistic society, asking them to communicate with their daughter so she would return from Butte, Mont., where she had been passing several weeks. Mrs. Simpson was informed Rev. Kincannon would receive a spirit message. The Rev. Kincannon Smith said yesterday afternoon, "I had been in Butte six weeks and was planning on coming home the latter part of this week. Sunday night as I was planning to retire there was three raps on the door of my room. I immediately realized some one had passed away and it was a spirit message for me to go home, so I answered that I would leave at once. I thought it might be my father, and I hurried to this city to find it was Mr. Simpson who had passed away. Mr. Simpson was 69 years of age and had lived in Spokane for a number of years.
