They were farmers and lived near Kenmare. They were the parents of 11 children; 7 sons and 4 daughters. There were two sets of twins, one set of girls, and one set of boys. The boys were born on two different days, one at home and the other in town at the hospital the next day.
In the 1940's - 1950's during the war, six of their seven sons were enlisted and at war for the United States. They all came home alive and well. Most of my uncles lived, worked and farmed in and around Kenmare.
There were 40 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren at the time of Edith's death in 1985.

Psalm 121
I will left up mine eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
