Mrs. Jean Sands Baldwin, 85, Roscoe, died Sunday in her home. She was born in Capron and was married to George E. Baldwin in 1885. She was Roscoe township clerk for 19 years and was the first secretary of the Roscoe Improvement association.
Mrs. Baldwin also served as assistant postmaster and rural mail carrier at the Roscoe post office. She lived in Roscoe Township for 69 years.
Surviving are a son, Glenn, Roscoe; three daughters, Mrs. Emily Alexander and Mrs. Nellie Cumming, both of Roscoe; Mrs. Edna Huston, Rockton; six grand-children and 12 great-grandchildren.
