Graveside services for Clarence C. Woodard, 78, of Sulphur Springs were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Brashear Cemetery.
Mr. Woodard died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, in Hopkins County Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1917, in Brashear, the son of Bill and Zell Mann Woodard. He married Rosa Bell Hoover, who preceded him in death in 1995.
Mr. Woodard was a farmer and dairyman. He was a member of Rockdale Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, William Woodard of Tira, Mike C. Woodard of Copeville, and Edward Woodard of Como; a daughter, Nancy Gilliam of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, Billy Ray Woodard of Cumby and L.D. Woodard of Sulphur Springs; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, W. D. Woodard; and a sister, Mary Lynn Keller.
